Very timely inspirational article by Engr. Nicolas worth reposting. Let us all choose to be kind!<\/p>\n

We live in a modern world \u2014 or at least, that\u2019s what we like to think about this generation. But still, cruelty seems to have found a comfortable home, both online and in real life.<\/p>\n

Social media has become a battleground of opinions and egos, while in the real world, we see groups forming, excluding, and judging others as if unkindness were a badge of superiority.<\/p>\n

I belong to many groups, and yes, I\u2019ve experienced bullying. The difference is, I can now look back at them with fierce and confident eyes.<\/p>\n

People will look at you and talk behind your back.<\/p>\n

Some will choose silence, refusing to acknowledge you even when you\u2019re part of the same organization.<\/p>\n

Others will act entitled, as if the world owes them validation.<\/p>\n

And yes \u2014 I\u2019m talking about you.<\/p>\n

The irony is that many of these same people are also fighting their own battles \u2014 dealing with pain, insecurities, and fears. Yet instead of healing, they project their struggles outward, hurting others with the same pain they can\u2019t face within themselves.<\/p>\n

I have seen this, felt this, and lived through it. But still, we must choose to be kind. Not because it\u2019s easy, but because it\u2019s the harder, braver choice.<\/p>\n

Kindness<\/strong>, for me, is not a reaction \u2014 it\u2019s a decision. It\u2019s waking up each day and choosing peace, even when chaos surrounds me.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why I love being in nature and caring for my furry babies \u2014 they remind me what unconditional love looks like.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also understanding that hurt people often hurt others \u2014 and deciding not to be one of them.<\/p>\n

There are moments when it feels lonely to be kind.<\/p>\n

When silence feels safer than speaking up.<\/p>\n

When grace feels like surrender.<\/p>\n

When you wonder if being good still matters.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But I\u2019ve learned that kindness isn\u2019t weakness.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s quiet strength.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s why we must continue to choose it, despite it all:<\/p>\n

  1. Kindness protects my peace.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When I respond with grace, I take control of my energy. I refuse to be consumed by anger or hate.<\/p>\n

    1. Kindness breaks the pattern.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      I cannot control how others behave, but I can end the cycle of cruelty by refusing to mirror it.<\/p>\n

      1. Kindness defines who I am.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The way others treat me reveals their character; the way I respond reveals mine.<\/p>\n

        1. Kindness inspires hope.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          In today\u2019s world that\u2019s growing colder, one act of compassion can remind others that goodness still exists.<\/p>\n

          1. Kindness heals me.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Every time I choose empathy over resentment, I grow lighter. I become free. Oh, and did I mention I\u2019ve stopped eating animals? That\u2019s where my journey of kindness truly began.<\/p>\n

            People can be cruel, yes \u2014 but that doesn\u2019t mean we should be. I\u2019d rather be remembered for my grace than for my grudges.<\/p>\n

            At the end of the day, how we treat others \u2014 especially when they don\u2019t deserve it \u2014 says everything about who we truly are. The Golden Rule, we must not forget.<\/p>\n

            And so, even when the universe chooses cruelty, please continue to choose kindness.
            \nNot because it\u2019s easy, but because it\u2019s right.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
