In the spirit of transparency and public service, Honorable George Erwin Garcia, the COMELEC chairman, personally demonstrated before the district coordinators of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), how the Automated Counting Machines (ACM) works.
The demonstration was held at the Archdiocesan Shrine of our Lady of Loreto in Sampaloc.
PPCRV district coordinators saw a glimpse on how the machine works. Chairman Garcia, with a sample ballot, showed the step-by-step process to undergo, from inserting the sample ballot to how the machine read, preview and record the votes casted.
Questions from the audience related to the upcoming elections were also entertained.
The ACM is set to be used this coming midterm election 2025 to ensure a quick, accurate and reliable election results.
Meantime, the 2nd batch of ACM delivery, 8,640 units of Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) and other peripherals, were received and inspected same day at the COMELEC Warehouse in Biñan, Laguna.
